Here it is the Fourth of July! Can you believe it! Half of the year is gone! It is almost time to go Christmas shopping. Hobby Lobby has already put out their Halloween and Thanksgiving merchandise, maybe Christmas (I have not been there for a while). It just blows my mind how fast time is passing.

But there is one thing that I can say no matter how fast things are going and that is “God Bless America.” America is the most wonderful, greatest, awesome, fabulous, etc., etc., place to live. I am so thankful. I should write a song and call it, “God Bless Paulette,” because that it just how I feel. God has truly blessed me.

In America we can do just about anything we want to do. We have the right to grip and complain about anything. Do I agree with everything? No! Do I grip and complain about stuff? Sometimes! Do I have everything I want? No, but I have everything I need.

I will not be put to death because I believe in Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. I will not be put to death if I choose to vote a certain way. I will not be put to death if I do not cover my head. I will not be put to death because I am a woman with an education. I will not be put to death because I am brave. I will not be put to death because I am writing my 100th blog today. Why will this not happen to me? Because I live in America – the home of the free.

Irving Berlin (one of the great song writers of all time) wrote the song “God Bless America.” As a little girl in school, we would have devotion each morning and we would sing this song and then pledge allegiance to the American flag. Here are the lyrics:

“While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that’s free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer.”

God bless America,
Land that I love,
Stand beside her and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.

From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam,
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.

I have been to several countries outside the United States and there is no place like home. Let us fight, let us stand, let us pray that our great homeland – America – will always remain a FREE NATION.

On this Fourth of July, let us all stand and say, “God Bless America.”

Thanks so much for the uplifting, inspirational post! Indeed, God Bless America or America Bless God. We are so fortunate and should count ourselves lucky not forgetting but praying for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are not so fortunate. Congrats on your 100th blog posting! Super proud of you…keep up the sensational work and God Bless Paulette : )
